shoutcast config woes
 

Hi all,
I'm trying to run a shoutcast streaming server on linux...but i'm having problems configuring it. I would appreciate if someone could help me troubleshoot.

I've downloaded sc_serv and sc_trans_linux (DSP plugin). The server starts alright (in the event log says: [sleeping] 0 listeners (0 unique)

When i start sc_trans_linux...it give the following message all the time...

<07/12/04@19:44:16> [STREAM] Error connecting to stream host [waiting 10s]
<07/12/04@19:44:26> [STREAM] Creating stream socket

<07/12/04@19:44:26> [STREAM] Error resolving stream host [waiting 10s]
<07/12/04@19:44:36> [STREAM] Error connecting to stream host [waiting 10s]


I know it may be inappropriate to post this problem here but if someone has some experience with shoutcast can help me out???

Do you have the same IP & port number configured in both config files, sc_serv.conf and sc_trans.conf ?
