Should I change from grub to lilo?

People say to so..

Can somone give me a step by step on what i should do(dont need to be so spacific, just bried)

I tried installing a new kernel but got a mount error while booting it. People say using lilo can fix that

I doubt switching bootloaders would help fix it. It sounds as if you didn't get the kernel compiled correctly or didn't write the stanza in /boot/grub/grub.conf right.
