shoud i update the kernel because of the CVE-2008-2358?

a few days ago, my coustoms told me that debian has announced a very important secruity information(http://lists.debian.org/debian-secur.../msg00173.html), they inquired me that i should update my server's kernel to 2.6.25.5 at once.

my server's os is centos5,and i find that the newest version of centos is 5.2,it's kernel's version is 2.5.18-92,not the 2.6.25.5. So must i update my system's kernel to 2.6.25.5? And how?

Thanks

2.5.18-92 typo, for sure!
Yeah, the vulnerability effects almost all kernel versions. So you must update.
But there is no public exploit so you should be safe for the moment, but who knows?

do a
yum upgrade kernel
