Shortcut keys over full screen game.

OS: Fedora 11 32bit

I play some full screen games, and I'd like to be able to use my sound shortcut keys over the full screen games. I know this was possible in Ubuntu but that's a bugged out distro and much rather prefer since I'm used to RHEL. Anyways, I'd like to know if setting the sound shortcut keys to work over full screen applications is possible.

It depends on the game. Most games provide a way to turn on windowed mode, then you just need to configure the right resolution and remove the title and borders, and put the game window on the top-most layer.

How this is done depends on your window manager.

other than that there's no universal way around this. You will have to check for each game.
