wingcom Member Registered: Feb 2003 Location: Belgium Distribution: Mandrake Posts: 38 Rep:	Shorewall blocking ftp Hi I'm trying to connect to set up an ftp server on my laptop (which i got from the company i work for, and for some reason i cant access the shares on that box using samba and linNeighbourhoud - something with the domain names, and priviliges it think cus on my other boxes it does work) so i set up an ftp server Serv-U on that laptop running win2000. Now i tried to connect via the gFTP client in linux... it always says: connection refused. In my /var/log/messages files i see that shorewall is rejecting it: Jul 20 11:39:21 ELAIR kernel: Shorewall:all2all:REJECT: IN= OUT=eth0 SRC=192.168.1.1 DST=192.168.1.253 LEN=60 TOS=0x10 PREC=0x00 TTL=646 ID=512 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=33212 DPT=21 WINDOW=5840 RES=0x00 SYN URGP = 0 I tried adding these lines in /etc/shorewall/rules: ACCEPT loc fw tcp 20,21 - Can anyone tell me what i'm missing please?
