Shockwave/Flash for Konquerer/Mandrake 9.1
OK, first of all sorry for posting the same thing in two forums but this might be a little too n00bish for Mandrake-Distros.
Anyways is there flash/shockwave support for Mandrake 9.1? Bear in mind I have the nvidia video driver installed (if that makes any difference....)
Thanks
J

Shockwave and flash are both plugins for your browser. Go to their websites, download and make sure you put the files into the correct browser directory.
Incidentally, a mod will probably post to say not to double post.

I know, like I explained I felt that I had initially entered in the wrong post.
When I go to the Macromedia website, it says that it has no plug-ins compatible with my browser...... surely this can't be? I use Konquerer, unfortunately I am at work so can't check the version but it came with the Mandrake 9.1 distro.
Any help appreciated thanks

It won't find plugins for Konqueror; go to the site with Mozilla and install the plugin (you'll probably have to download and run the installer) into the plugins directory for Mozilla. After you've done that, you can go to the Settings menu in Konqueror, click on Configure Konqueror, scroll down to Plugins, and click on Scan for New Plugins; that will let you use your Mozilla plugin in Konqueror, and voila! you'll have flash in Konqueror.

Oh, OK
Sounds good, it's kind of weird that it must be done that way but oh well, I'll try it when I get home.
Thanks!
P.S. So the Shockwave plugin isn't possible?

As far as I know, you'd have to have crossover plugin to do that.

You have to buy Crossover Plugin, but after that it's really quite simple.
