Shockwave and flash are both plugins for your browser. Go to their websites, download and make sure you put the files into the correct browser directory.
Incidentally, a mod will probably post to say not to double post.
I know, like I explained I felt that I had initially entered in the wrong post.
When I go to the Macromedia website, it says that it has no plug-ins compatible with my browser...... surely this can't be? I use Konquerer, unfortunately I am at work so can't check the version but it came with the Mandrake 9.1 distro.
It won't find plugins for Konqueror; go to the site with Mozilla and install the plugin (you'll probably have to download and run the installer) into the plugins directory for Mozilla. After you've done that, you can go to the Settings menu in Konqueror, click on Configure Konqueror, scroll down to Plugins, and click on Scan for New Plugins; that will let you use your Mozilla plugin in Konqueror, and voila! you'll have flash in Konqueror.
