Sharing Mozilla's profiles again

Hi all!
I have just set up Kubuntu Linux with dual boot WINXP (NTFS). Almost everything is working and that's good.
But I have some troubles. My linux can handle ntfs partition quite qood. I can read and write there. All is working just perfect. BUT if I would like to share my mozilla's profiles (thunderbird and firefox), then it is not working like I expected. Under linux I changed thunderbird and firefox profiles.ini and set the PATH to the windows ntfs drive. All mail accounts and messages are shared. I can send, receive, delete messages in linux and it affects to the windows thunderbird. Also my windows firefox bookmarks are available in linux firefox. But NOW, when I would like to change in linux some preferences, add some bookmarks, change home page address, it's working but only for this session. When I close firefox (thunderbird) all changes, that I made, are lost. I've strange feeling that firefox can't write to my windows partition. Same thing are thunderbird preferences. But even more stranger is that mail messages are being saved.

This is the HOWTO that I used to access ntfs partition. (h)ttp://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Edgy#How_to_mount_Windows_partitions_.28NTFS.29_on_boot-up.2C_and_allow_users_read_and_write_access[/url]
I wonder that firefox is not belonging to ntfs group, but I'm not so experienced that I could handle myself.

Thanks!
