Share/Export mail folder from Evolution

Hi all,

I use Evolution 2.6.1 at the office to manage my emails. Unfortunately, it is not very easy to export mails from evolution to make them available / share them with other people.

I am looking for a tool I could use to export a folder from evolution to an easily readable format. Would it be possible to export this to HTML? An other format? So that other employees of the company can easily read them?

Would you suggest an other solution to share those email with other people?

Thanks in advance for your answer.
Kind regards,

Vincent

Here are a couple of things that come to mind

1) Shared network folder - Setup a folder that your network can share and place your evoluion mail files in that folder. Have the network users setup Evolution to point to that shared file

2) Copy contents to a shared folder - Use a program like rsync to copy contents of email files to a shared folder. Then access those files through the network.

Larrydag,

thanks for your suggestion. This is a good idea, indeed ... the only problem I have is that most people around me use Outlook. So I would also need to convert those files, which, according to what I have read so far on various newgroups or forums, seems to be a tricky task ...

Ideally I would like to export these mails in an HTML format (or easily readable format) so that they would all be able to 'surf' in those mails from an IE / Firefox ...

An other option would be to export them to an Open Office format ...

Thanks in advance for your suggestions ...

Regards,

Vincent

Vincent,

Maybe you can do something that does a pdf dump of the email to a shared folder. I know there are some interesting open source pdf applications available now.
