.sh.bin install?

I'm going to try to install the unreal tournament 2003 demo onto my redhat box, but the extension on it is .sh.bin . I've only installed 2 programs myself on linux so far (.rpm and .run), and I'm not sure what to do with .sh.bin yet. I've tried searching here and google with no results.

What do you do with .sh.bin files to make them install/run?

Thanks for all help.

P.S. can you install .tar.gz files without the internet (I read somewhere that those files just connected to the internet to DL the .rpm's)?

Yeah, just untar them, configure, and install them.

You may need to make them executable first, so

$chmod +x filename.bin
then
$sh filename.bin (or $./filename.bin)
