Exclamation Several questions regarding FC14


how to run the fedora 14 security tools on a machine which is directly connected to windows machine........and also how to take screen shots on fedora 14... do i have inbuilt gimp in fedora14 or do i have to install shutter..... please please reply as soon as possible ...it will be of great help... i have more queries.... am waiting...!!!

If it's not installed you can 'yum -y install gimp'.

AM actually doing a system security project ....in this i gotta run all the available security tools namely flaw finder, tcpdump, honeyd, and many other tools present in fedora14..... they should be run on a machine which is connected to another windows xp machine through ethernet cable....an view if all of the tools give correct output...pls give me the site which gives accurate info to run all tools with appropriate examples.....,.... one more question is how to test whether the cable i have is ethernet crossover cable... this may not be related to linux but pls do help me....

There is no site like that I know of. Each tool comes with its own documentation which may or may not include examples.

Either set up networking (each host its own static IP address within the same subnet) and ping each host or check the Crossover cable pinouts (white orange plus white green swapped and orange plus green swapped).
