Hi guys, I'm new to this forum so sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this but this is the setting I have, I have a PC which is connected to the internet via USB modem, I have connected that via LAN to a router which is giving IP's to other computers, around 6 in my local connection. everything is working fine and I am using windows but I want to switch to Linux and be able to make that main PC a proxy server so that I have administrative power, and main thing is that pages can be cached so less bandwidth is used. can you help me with which version I can use or if there are some ISO files which have such settings in it. would appreciate it.

Most distros can do that; the service you want to install is called squid.
