Setup Linux to accept modem user connections
 

Hi there,

I'm a newbie with Linux , someone please give me some advices.
I want to setup my linux box so that it can accept a dialling connection from any modem. Another word If I'm using my laptop I want dial to my linux box using modem, be able download file from the Linux box. What kind of hardware do I need for the server ?? and what software I must use ?
