Question setup exim for remote outgoing mail

Hey Everyone

Well quick question, I have a mail server running on my linux box and it works great. it works great as long as i'm not trying to send mail remotely because exim is setup to send mail from internal ip's, but I want the ability to do this remotely and I'm not sure how to do this. I did find a quick qork arround, which was to allow the remote address of where I am to connect to my smtp and send my mail, but I would rather have it that it knows who's connection so that I don't have to worry about editting exim.conf everytime I'm out of the office.

There is an option in outlook that you can set which says "My outgoing server(SMTP) requires authentication". Who would I go about this to do so?

any help is appreciated.

thanks,
Matt.

Have you searched the web? A link about authentication setup with exim is below:
