Arrow Setup Conexant AccessRunner DSL modem on FC3

Hi all!
I'm trying to install a PCI Conexant AccessRunner DSL modem on FC3.
I followed the guide (url not possible, it's my first post) of chriscmalcolm on geocities and all seems OK (I think...).
Launching /etc/init.d/cnxadslctl start the modem synchronize with DSL line.
With /etc/init.d/cnxadslctl status I see connection is established, but I can't see nothing in /var/log/messages nor in ifconfig. BTW, I'm not able to understand how I have to use pppd to launch the authentication with my ISP because there is only eth0 available in KPPP. I tried to create a ppp0 in /etc/ppp/peers/ and then launch "pppd call ppp0" but I don't know where to see the log, no errors appears.
Which O/P could I supply to receive your help?

Thanks in advance
