setting up wireless LAN Mint 12


Hi! I have switched to linux mint 12 was tired of computer crashing all the time so far I love it Everything seams to work great until I want to browse the network and i can't see any other devices (comp. router, ect.) Note. I am connected to internet per wifi just can't or don't know how to discover other devices. Can someone help with this.

Where 'can't you see' the other devices? You should be able to access them all via IP if they're serving something at the very minimum.

if you are using Nautilus (file manager) look at the panel on the left side click the Network and then select the WORKGROUP or whatever you had named your group of devices there.

I really dont know because mint now uses cinamon or mate so I dont know what file manager they have. but just click the icon to explore folders and files then look on the panel and look for network
