Setting up USB and a WebCam
I have managed to plug in a camera and download pics no problem but when I plug in the new webcam nothing happens.

It's an Advent ADE-1300K there's a driver on the disk but hat's in windows and I can't read it.

Where can I get a linux driver and what do I have to do to install it and get the camera operational.

PS I'm running on debian

This site deals with webcam drivers for GNU/Linux: Although your model may not be listed it may support the chipset.

He's amazing
Yep I've had a look there having read something about his work building driver for over 250 cams.

But no mine is not supported through his site.

Strange Advent being french.

Even if it was I still donn't know how to go from driver to cam working.

I would be very greatful for some help if anyone has any ideas.
