Question setting up partition for WIN XP

I formated whole hard drive two days ago and after that I didn't have any problem to install SuSe 8.0 on it but I wasn't able to install win xp at all (it takes forever to install it! and i don't know what is the reason for that.
So can you help me how to set everything right?

when i do fdisk command i get this:

linux:~ # fdisk -l /dev/hda

Disk /dev/hda: 240 heads, 63 sectors, 7941 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 15120 * 512 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 1 134 1013008+ 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda2 * 135 2909 20979000 83 Linux
/dev/hda3 2910 7941 38041920 c Win95 FAT32 (LBA)

and my fstab looks like this:

linux:~ # cat /etc/fstab
/dev/hda2 / reiserfs defaults 1 2
/dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
/dev/dvd /media/dvd auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto noauto,user,sync 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
usbdevfs /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs noauto 0 0
/dev/hda1 swap swap pri=42 0 0

thank you

The typical way of doing it is:

Install XP first - making sure you leave some unpartitioned free space for SUSE to go on later.

Then install SUSE second - install LILO or GRUB to the MBR and make a boot disk if possible during the SUSE install just in case of probs.
