Setting up my swap partition...

Hi all. I know the general rule of thumb is 2x your RAM size for any swap partition. I have 768mb RAM in my computer and double that is 1536mb(1.536gigs). Maybe i'm wrong but that jus seems a lot for a swap partition:confused: . Can anyone tell me what a good size swap partition would be? Thanks for helping this newbie out :).

With that amount of ram you will not really need much swap if at all. That rule of thumb is kind of outdated now. I would say 256MB will be plenty - that takes you over the Gig in total.
