Just asking but why Feather?
I like Feather too except it's probably a dead distro...too bad really.

You should check out Tinycore
It's the new DSL and since Feather is similar all is good.
It's current and has alot of apps avail.

I just made a Portable-Feather-0.7.5's Feather installed to a portable-qemu img; I made it 600MB with a swap partition too.

The kit download (make your own vhd) lets you do your own. ( )
That way you can experiment with Feather, etc and take risks without hurting your real system. I suggest at least a 500MB vhd.

It works on Linux and Windows.
Read this post for more info-
( )

The download with the 600MB vhd will be avail. in an hour-the vhd compresses down to 129MB
and you just use the scripts to install or run.
I suggest also playing the portable on a mid-to-high ram PC.

If that is all you want to do with the computer, find a win 95 cd. I don't know about dvd support, but I'm sure someone has done it.
