Setting up ethernet

Hey everybody, I took someone's advice on this forum and I finally upgraded my linux machine from Mandrake 9.1 to 10.0. But for some reason my eth0 isn't configured right. Do you guys know anyway I can correctly set up my ethernet card to work with my network at home? I'm not too sure on the specifics of the card, its pretty generic. Thanks!
