Unhappy Setting up ADSL in Linux problems

I have just switched to ADSL using a USB modem but I am having problems setting up Linux. The linux documentation is rather poor in this area.

Th modem has been detected and configured by YAST2. I have also set-up the ADSL system in YAST2.

I cannot work out how to get a connection.

Has anyone set-up ADSL for Linux?

It is really galling to have to use Windows to access this website...Help!!!
