Setting up a DSL connection in Mandrake 9.0
I've been trying to set up a DSL connection with Linux Mandrake 9.0. I've downloaded and installed Roaring Penquin and ran it. It actually says I'm connected but Mozilla doesn't download any websites. Then in the Mandrake Control Center, it says my ETH0 card is up but there is no connection (to internet). Can anyone help me get it working. My other question is...I used a rpm --rebuild command with one of the Roaring Penquin files but then realized that was incorrect. Is there anyway to undo the rebuilding that was done?? I am totally new to linux and would just assume reinstall everything again...let me know if any1 can answer either of those questions.

thank you everybody

are you sure you need to use a PPPoE client? most DSL providers will work directly over DHCP. and to set that up you'd just set the eth0 interface's IP to be assigned by dhcp with netconfig or in that control centre... somewhere.

undoing the rebuilding... just delete it... or install over it, asumign you've not changed any of the installation paths.
