Are you using a linux or windows machine at home? I use Xwin32 on my windows machine at home then set it up for my Internet IP address not my LAN IP then use indirect broadcast XDMPC with Xwin32. I then telnet into the schools computer use setenv DISPLAY <IP Address>:0 then type startkde or what ever and it shows up in Xwin32 window. Hope that helps.

You will also have to allow your home computer to connect to your school computer.

This is done by the command xhost.
This command you run on your school computer. xhost + will allow all computers to connect to the machine.
