Set password for folder access

I would like block users on my pc from accessing a private folder. Let me explain: isometimes leave people I allow to use my pc to do work, but because I know they will be snooping around my home directory, I want to block access to this folder with a secure pasword; can it be done? I dod not want to create new account.

many thanks,

Try GnuPG to encrypt that folder

Or give them their own user-account and home space.
