set internet connection for yum on fedora core 7


hello i am newbie with linux, i am using fedora core 7,
i try to install program on my fedora, its work when i use text command over the terminal, but i want to use my add/remove programs.
the yum need to connet to internet, i have a internet connection over proxy, my question: how to set internet connection over proxy for yum?

Just export it using the following,

export http_proxy="http://proxy.server.name:portnumber"
