Set FTP home directory to USB drive

Hi guys. I have a bunch of data on an external USB drive, that I want to get to someone via FTP. Is it possible to mount that USB drive on a vsftpd server, then set that as the users home directory so they go right in there when they connect with the ftp account i'll give them?

Never done it before so wanted to ask.

Never done it myself but sounds more than feasible to me.
How is the drive formatted?

It's NTFS, as Windows users have populated it with the data.
