servers exhausted when connecting to irc server using BitchX

i tried to connect to via bitchX...i am new to irc ....every few minutes i get this msg as " servers exausted. restarting"....i am not even sure if i am connected to the server. how do i make out whether i am connected to the server?

I think this means that it has tried to connect to all of the servers in the list, but it is unable to connect. It maybe an issue related to this ( so I recommend you try another IRC client...
