server not resolving
hi everyone
my web server isnt resovling what do i check it sint a dns server its just a web server but i cant ping www.yahoo.com but i can ping ip addresses

check your /etc/resolv.conf
Code:
mail:/etc# cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 192.168.0.24
nameserver 192.168.0.25
this file should contain the IP addresses of your DNS server(s)
Edit accordingly if the dns server IP's are missing..

i have these dns servers in that file and all of them are resolving
do i have to put a local name server that is on the lan
nameserver 81.29.66.2
nameserver 212.18.227.167
