server for red hat


Hi,
I would like to purchase the servers for oracle application and database.I don't know about the details of server .please anyone tell about that.
Simultaneously 100 users accessing the server for mail.
Another one is 500 users accessing the server for application

Oracle should be happy to make suggestions if you are buying their products, they would have an idea of the specs required to support 500 users on their application.

You basically have 3 options:

1. Ask Oracle about OEL; it's their version of RHEL
2. ask Redhat about RHEL
3. do research, then implement in Centos; a free version of RHEL
