Is there a way I can setup a ppp server on my machine (which has broadband connection) and dial-in to it from other
computer(s)..just like dialing in to an isp?...like setting up my own dialup isp for personal use?

Yeah, google ppp server / dial-up networking server. You'll find a bunch of helpful stuff.
