HI
i can assure you this isnt a Linux or Windows issue

Do you have a plain wired PS/2 keyboard?
Make sure it is connected correctly to the Purple PS2 port.

To use a USB keyboard before 'Windows or KDE completely loads'

in BIOS under advanced you must enable
"Legacy USB Support"

thats it thats the only real cause

ya i have a wired keyboard....i had inserted to the ps2 port but it aint workin...and i cant even enter bios...the keyboard doesnt work on ps2 interface...but works after loading completely

ooo Yuk
if your lucky your PS2 Keyboard is faulty

if your like me the PS2 Port on the mainboard i faulty.

if the USB keyboard doesnt work the Legacy USB option in bios is the cause.

1. Completely Unplug your computer from the wall for 5minutes.
Turn it back on

2. Does the numlock key on the Keyboard light up on boot?

if you tap NumLock/Caps/Scroll-lock
3. Do the lights turn on /off?

Now try the USB > PS2 converter/Keyboard and repeat 1 -3

looks like someone not only disable USB keyboard support but disabled bios access

not a pretty site

but yep the bios reset fixes that

maybe should password protect you bios
