serial port rs232


Hello.i am wondering if there is a way to check and configure my serial port ttyS0 in suse linux enteprise desktop SP2.It seems that i cant install minicom.thank you in advance

You can use the stty(1) command to configure it, and you can echo to or from stdin.

$ echo "abc" > /dev/ttyS0
