I've connected a serial cable to one of the serial port on my desktop, how do i access it via the terminal (shell) to gain access to my rollover hardware devices?
Minicom would be the program you want to use.
I usually recommend Serial Terminal Linux if you have any problems configuring Minicom. Serial Terminal Linux boots straight into a working serial connection.
