Serial Connection from FreeSCO to Linux laptop
I'm trying to setup what should be a simple serial connection from a PC running FreeSCO (0.3.2) to a older laptop (no on board NIC). The FreeSCO router is working fine with PCs connecting via DCHP, so I am assume that my only issues are with the laptop and setup for the serial connection. Has anyone been down this road that can give me or point me to a guide on this? I'm still just learning about SLIP vs PPP vs PPPeP (recommendations?) If you know either side of this equation please add your input I can try to piece together whatever info is given.

Are you using a null modem to connec to the serial port. You need a null modem which basically flip flops the send and receive.

I got the cable figured out, got a working one from a friend. I can get the pin out if anyone wants it. I am still no farther on getting the connection to work.
