sendmail smtp


I have a centos and installed sendmail , I would like to use sendmaail to test the email function via internal SMTP , I tried the below command but it seems not work , would avise how to use sendmail via specific SMTP ?

Code:
#sendmail -S smtp=192.168.1.128 abc@abc.com
#sendmail -S 192.168.1.128 abc@abc.com

These commands are wrong. You should use mail (or mailx depending on distro) instead of sendmail if you want to use a remote smtp server.
So try the following:

mail -S smtp=192.168.1.128 -s Subject  abc@abc.com < /dev/null
