SENDMAIL - sm-client fails
I am using Mandrake 9 and installed sendmail and postfix. When i try to start sendmail, i get a message:
starting sm-client: sendmail: invalid option -- A
can't find useful information about sm-client.

How are you starting sendmail?
What's the full command used...
It looks like the error doesn't like the -A option.
-A is invalid.

My problem with smclient is it starts but does not stop
when i do /etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail stop
shutting down sendmail [ok]
shutting down sm-client [failed]
any suggestions

Your not the only one ssrikant
I also have the same problem. I haven't changed the config since installation but now when logging out the sm-client fails to stop.
I'm using RHL 8.0. By the way I'm a complete linux newbie.

if you find out anything on the sm-client not stopping, let me know, i'm in the same boat, not able to send or receive mail at the moment through the server, please clue me in at pattiboy@speakeasy.net,
