sendmail settings in lan

hello

I have virtual lan. server is configured as router, firwall and proxy to the 4 clients. Internet is accessible from all clients. dns and web server is working. I don't have yahoo account for mail service.
my questions.
1)i want to configure sendmail in lan with example.com site.
2)is anyone providing some free mail service in internet at least for studying purpose.
please help me

1) ok, well check the sendmail howto and standard senmail docs. note that relatively speaking sendmail is "hard". you might prefer postfix, exim or qmail.
2) hotmail? googlemail? msn? yahoo? there are thousands of free mail hosts...

Hello

can i use their imap/pop(free) services for sendmail/postfix

What does that mean? sendmail in an smtp server. what's that got to do with imap?
