sendmail problem


I have a application that generate mail and send to Lotus notes via sendmail daemon , I have stop the sendmail daemon because I want to hold these mails , as I know the mail should be keep at /var/spool/mqueue , but I can't found any mail in it , and I also can't found any mail by typing mailq , can advise where can I these mails ? thx



# mailq
/var/spool/mqueue is empty
Total requests: 0
[root@RH4-Backup mqueue]# pwd
/var/spool/mqueue
[root@RH4-Backup mqueue]# ll
total 0

You might want to run

Code:
whereis mailq
and verify that you have only one "mailq" in your path. If you have two, try running both directly. For example,

/usr/bin/mailq
or

Code:
/sbin/mailq
