sendmail help....please

I am a totall newbie, and to be honest I am surprised I got this far....

I have been trying to set up my own e-mail server and it seems to be sorta working. I am wondering if someone can push me into the right direction form where I am right now.

I was able to setup sendmail and get it running (I think). I am having a hard time figuring out how to route mail to the users though. I don't know if what I am trying to do is posisble or not but I will try to explain:

I have registered a domain.

mydomain.com

I set it's MX to go to

mydomain.is-a-geek.com ( free domain router for dynamic IP)

routes to

my.ip.add.ress

frowarded in my router to my linux redhat server

I sent a test mail from my hotmail account and other e-mail accounts to testname@mydowmain.com and my server appears to be accepting these messages. Using webmin I was able to determione that it is putting them into a queue, which I was really happy that I got this far.

BUT how can I make the queued messages go to a user account I wantg to have for example

nerd@mydomain.com go to "nerd" user account. Do I have to do some kind of name "routing" or somthing with sendmail to make it send certain address to certain users???

I am using pine by the way. I was able to read local messages from other users, but nothing from the outside.

I would really appreciate it if someone would give me some pointers. I have tried to find out how to do this on the net, but I don't know what the question I should be asking.

regards,
