Sending messages to peers.

I run a Linux machine and my friends use Windows(Xp and Vista). We connect through a wirless connection (ad hoc) to share internet connection, ftp, telnet etc. I would like to send messages to my peers. How do i do it?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You can do that using the smbclient. Have a look at this site for how to use it:
Sending message from Unix/Linux to Windows
