Send mail with spacewalk

Hello everybody,

We have spacewalk on our infra and I want to ask you if it's possible to trigger the sending of a mail (via spacewalk) every time a server is rebooted?

For each server we have a custom info filed with the mail of the application owner.

Thanks,

Ludo

Please satisfy my curiosity. What exactly is an "infra"?

This should help: https://access.redhat.com/documentat...ed_guide/index.

It states that you can configure Spacewalk to send an email upon an "errata," and you can configure what constitutes an "errata." Start with section 5.1 about errata and configuring errata emails. I have no personal experience with Spacewalk, but I'd be floored it you can't define a reboot as an errata.

As an aside, LQ encourages persons to use standard English. LQ is an English-language forum, but, for many LQ users, English is a second, sometimes even a third, language. The more standard the writing, the easier it is for readers to comprehend it.

Thanks, but didn't find what I'm looking for... looks like I need to configure it on each server and of course activate mail on each server... any ideas are welcome.

KR,
Ludovic
