searching for Linux driver for soundcard Asus R558Ulaptop


that is my first question here .
It does not work properly as it is now .

would be nice to give us more details. Like: type of that soundcard, the OS you have and what do you mean by "does not work properly".

If you made a previous post, it maybe awaiting moderation. You should contact the forum's admin or a moderator if you made a post before and it doesn't appear.

Anyway, could you describe your problem better, because there really isn't a lot to go on here. So is your sound card not working?

If so, have you tried the following command to see if it's muted?

alsamixer
If you see "MM", it means it's muted.

You may also want to post the results of the following command so we can see exactly which sound chip you have;

lspci
