SCSI error with 2 x controllers installed

I am running a HP Netserver with Debian 3 installed. The system boots and runs O.K. but during operation I get the following at the command prompt after serious access to the drive concerned:-

sym53c896-0-<0,*>: FAST-40 WIDE SCSI 80.0 MB/s (25.0 ns, offset 31)

I have set the second controller to devices 8 & 9.

Being unfamiliar with SCSI, some help would be very much appreciated.

Regards,

Andrew

that is probably modprobe loading the scsi modules when you access the drive.
modules for the controller. or bus. chipset.
