Script causing Flash player to run slowly

Every time i try to play a video in a particular site(BBC i player) a message pops up that says "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive." I was wondering if an alternative flash player would work and if so which. If not what could i do to fix this problem? Thanks
