Talking screen size probs

I installed red hat 7.1 and I must have made a mistake somewhere, as the window seems larger then my screen, so i get only a partial window. Attemps of grabbing the edge of the winsow via mouse to resize seem to be resisited. I remember in the setup (vaguely) that i hat to set some sort od screen size.
Is there an easy way to fix this prob, or do i re -install?

1. Close down X (The backbone of the Graphical Interface) by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Backspace.
2. When you're at the console/bash prompt (text-based interface) type Xconfigurator.
3. Follow the steps in Xconfigurator and make sure you choose no to something like vurtial screen/monitor (I'm really sure what it's called).
4. When you have saved you're settings through Xconfigurator type startx after you have quit it (Xconfigurator).

If that doesn't work post us the specs of the computer. Along with the contents of XF86Config-4 in the /etc directory.

i also faced the similar problem when i was using redhat linux 6.2(long ago). at that time i never used X-windows. At that time i was horribly new to linux and i guessed the problem was with the driver-driver does not support hardware.

Later redhat 7.x released and i upgraded my linux box(actually not upgraded but reinstalled). thereafter no problem with X.
