Screen shifted upwards/leftwards during red hat installation

Hello, I am interested in completely formatting my hard drive (because XP is useless) and installing a fresh copy of red hat, yet when I try to boot from my live Red Hat CDs, the screen is shifted such that I cannot appropriately choose my installation options. I am on a flat screen LCD, and I imagine that is the problem, but I was hoping someone knew a workaround before I tried to hunt down another monitor for the pure purpose of installation. On a side note, my only prior experience with red hat is an occasionally use on a work computer, so if possible, please try to keep it simple for this newbie. Thanks all!

also, I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but this problem is recurrent in both graphical installation as well as text only installation. It makes it impossible to accurately partition the right drive.

i'll look through my LCD's settings to see if there's any way to auto adujst. Do you think it may be related to resolution (as opposed to L/R orientation, etc.)?

try the option linux text to install so you can adjust the settings later, use a vesa video mode that's correct for your monitor as a boot argument.
