Screen seems to be in zoom mode, but without needing to scroll. It just moves about as I move the cursor.
I'm not sure if anyone can help, but I installed Blender on my dual boot LM 18.2 Cinnamon laptop. While trying to get the object to rotate around center point which it wasn't doing at first it suddenly started working.
Now everything on my laptop on Linux is responding to the movement of my cursor. I've tried to retrace my steps in Blender, but to no avail. I've also have tried to resize my screen by using the cursor; failed. I've tried going into .config/gtk-2.0/gtkfilechooser.ini and changing the geometry settings, but that didn't work either. If I reboot and log into Windows OS everything there is fine. Not sure what to do and am not sure what I should be looking for. |
Does it still do it after a reboot to Linux?

Try pressing escape. I think you can accidentally right click select something on a laptop. I've had similar where my mouse cursor was giving page instructions to my browser

Tried it. Would taking some screen shots help? |
No sorry

You might need to turn ScreenCast Keys off. See this: https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/E...ey_Status_Tool

I solved it by going to Terminal and resetting the screen resolution there.
I typed xrandr which returned: Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1366 x 768, maximum 32767 x 32767 eDP1 connected 1366x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 293mm x 165mm 1366x768 60.06*+ 40.04 1360x768 59.80 59.96 1280x720 60.00 1024x768 60.00 1024x576 60.00 960x540 60.00 800x600 60.32 56.25 864x486 60.00 640x480 59.94 720x405 60.00 680x384 60.00 640x360 60.00 HDMI1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) VIRTUAL1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) I then typed xrandr -s 1280x720 My screen came out smaller than I wanted, but after holding alt and rotating the mouse scroll it resized to the correct size and no more rotating window. I then restarted to make sure it fixed the problem and it did. I want to thank AwesomeMachine and rhubarbdog for your inputs. It always helps to eliminate other possiblities. |
