screen saver on kde.

OK, this is a very VERY newbie question, but i don't even know how to start looking for this.

You know in KDE there is a screen saver like in any window manager, well... I've disabled it but it still shuts down my screen after a few minutes. It is not exactly the screen saver, it just stops sending data do my screen and when I move the mouse or press a key it comes back (a little slow). It is like the energy save option of Micro$oft Window$.

I want to have my screen on all the time, so I would appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks in advance.

PS: sorry for posting such a dumb question, but I didnīt even know how to look for the answer in google, and believe me, I've tried.

This is also energy save (linux supports it too), If you want to disable it navigate preferences->power control->energy and you'll find the settings.

thanks a lot. BTW, how can I run the control center from a console (I don't mean drakconf). I want to run it as root, but when I start it from the desktop It runs in user-mode and I lose a lot of root's privileges.

Thanks again.
