screen reso for gutsy's desktop effects to work

SOLVED SOLVED SOLVED

Is there a minimum screen reso requirement to run gutsy's desktop effects in full screen?

Currently after a lot of playing around and following forum suggestions I have got the desktop effects working in precisely one quarter of the screen (top left), the remainder being black (even though the mouse pointer works across the whole screen).

Any ideas?

cheers

Ben
