Screen Locking

I am using pclinuxos live cd.

I went to lock the screen in the standard windows format with ctrl-alt-del and of course if didn't work.

Is there a similar keystroke combination in linux so that I can lock the screen. Right now, I've been minimizing the windows and then right clicking the background and selecting lock.

Thank you

Jason

You set it in Linux. Hotkeys are not just default in Linux like Windows. You can have various combinations do anything, are you using Gnome or KDE?

If You are using KDE, go to the KDE Control Center and search for "keyboard shortcuts"

In the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog, you can look up the function you
want, and it will tell you if a key is set, what it is and you can
change it if you want.

There is also the application xlock, and you can call that from the
KDE command dialog, or create a .desktop file and bind a key to it to start
that "application."
